Don't you have that special piece of clothing that keeps getting better the longer you have it?
For me it is THE MANGY MOOSE sweatshirt that was blue but is now a dull gray with holes and frayed sleeves.
It is like those old work gloves that prevented blisters or that old baseball cap that shielded your head from the sun.
We need to hold onto memories and old recliners and pieces of us that are all broke in and are metaphors for who we are...weathered by time...scarred by experience...yet still around and useful.
