IMMIGRATION
When I came to America I took reading, writing, and arithmetic
seriously. I knew I had to learn to survive. One of my early
teachers in Chicago told the class one day that all of her
ancestors came over on the Mayflower and looked toward me
for a response. I was hurt but I answered her which took all of
the courage I could muster and I answered truthfully in my
broken English. I said that was very good. But my family had to
take a mental competency test to enter. I was proud of myself.

ReplyDeleteAnd so begins the disconnect.... The Government should be concentrating on the three R's and educating , seriously educating the young parents of today. With the Union's and Special Interests taking over the Government, We are left with uneducated sheep that are unfortunately lead around to be shown what they will never have.. Freedom!
