MISTAKES
Mistakes are a part of Life, if you take them to seriously you will
make more----Behavior follows your attention and your energy
When your thoughts are full of confusing or conflicting details,
mistakes and problems your attention is going in a negative direction
If you make the decision to make light of your mistakes that
doesn't mean that you are not concerned that you made an error
It just means that you refuse to compound the problem and that
you understand the value of keeping your perspective and your sense of humor----In every mistake there is a potential for growth
and an acceptable solution

CHANGE
It's an old story "If you go on doing what you have always done,
you'll go on getting what you have always got"
Take an inventory of your own stubbornness---keep an open mind
Have the courage to make changes--- and positive things will
start to occur

FREEDOM
The attachments to beliefs and controlling the mind is not the
answer ----- You can't think your way to freedom
To be free you have to know that you don't know
Ask yourself which way would you run

THE CONSTITUTION
Lately there have been a lot of discussions about our constitution
We are all proud of our Constitution
But remember no constitution is self enforcing
We have a lot of work to do

TOUGH TIMES
I have always believed that everything happens for a reason
Always look for a silver lining or a lesson
Use humor as a relief valve
Ignore your critics
Remember you are in the ARENA

MODES
In business and in life you can either react or respond
When you REACT you feel stressed and your judgement
and you decision making capacity is impaired, opportunities
are overlooked and you become negative
When you RESPOND you are more relaxed, confident, tend to
see the whole picture and grasp at new opportunities as they arise
Use the power of Response

FEAR
You can make excuses
You can be successful
But, you can't do both
Excuses are an expression of fear
So, feel the FEAR and do it anyway

LIFE and DEATH -----EDWARD LAW
I believe in accepting death and celebrating life. Last week my longtime friend and business assoc
died at the age of 92. He lived and died on his own terms. In business he was a conscientious
and loyal employee. He became a successful entrepreneur, always giving his all. He was a tough
businessman always honest and truthful. He was always willing to help others,
he respected his
employees and associates. He liked all sports especially tennis.
He loved his extended family and friends
. He was always willing to advise and mentor his children and grandchildren and set up a program to pay for their education. He loved his church and generously supported many charities.
Ed disliked fancy cars and expensive wardrobes always bragging " I never owned a matching
tennis outfit"
One of his prize possessions was his black address book, it seemed wherever we went he could always look up someone he knew. We are going to miss you a lot. my friend

IMAGINATION
Always begin with facts
Anything you watch and measure will improve
" We cannot solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them "
So said Albert Einstein

LUCK
In life as in the game of chess only the good players are lucky
Don't try and make yourself feel good by saying 'I am just
unlucky----Analyze the facts and start over

COMMUNICATION
The easy way to communicate, when you are not prepared, is to try and hide the fact that you have nothing say by spouting obscure verbiage and thereby fooling your audience
OR
When facing a group thirsting for knowledge first pick a
subject that you know well and remember it is difficult not to assume that other people know what you know
Then start by imagining what it would be like to be completely ignorant of your subject ----Now tell your story
