LIFE starts with small steps

You see, one thing leads to another and before long you might
not even remember when or why you got off track. So what do
you do? Do what I did. Take the bull by the horns and develop a
strategy that gets the job done. And the unintended
consequences of a negative circumstance can have unexpected
positive results.

IMMIGRATION

When I came to America I took reading, writing, and arithmetic
seriously. I knew I had to learn to survive. One of my early
teachers in Chicago told the class one day that all of her
ancestors came over on the Mayflower and looked toward me
for a response. I was hurt but I answered her which took all of
the courage I could muster and I answered truthfully in my
broken English. I said that was very good. But my family had to
take a mental competency test to enter. I was proud of myself.

SUCCESS

FEAR IS DANGEROUS

Looking back, I see a great lesson. The things in life we fear are
like the chains that bind us. Until we unlock and remove those
chains, we are destined to a life of failure. Until we face and
conquer our fears, we’re doomed to a life of mediocrity.

Whining Sucks

And therein lies the wonderful law of exponents, when you hear
that the person you helped do it helps someone else do it and the
third party doesn’t even know you were involved. That is the
blessing beyond belief, living life on your own terms, the very

CAUTION

Lately the word caution has been in the news a lot--------
                               too much or not enough
I agree with Napoleon when he said  " If you start to take 
Vienna, take it "
In war and in life  being tentative usually leads to failure
Let's face it success usually comes when we start to clean up
the mess we have created  

CHOICES

Past success does not protect you from future failures
When you start to think that you are better than others,
be careful it can become arrogance

SUCCESS

Success become easier once you realize that everyone
 who appears to " have it all " is making it up as they
go along, just like the rest of us

REFLECTIONS

As Bonnie and I approach our 37th anniversary I realize that:

There have been disappointments and heart breaks, but something always came along  that made me better and that past mistakes
have always turned into new opportunities
Always fly your own Flag 

GOALS

Some times you have to make things up as you go along
You can always change course as you go
Remember, people appreciate passion more than perfection

BASEBALL and LIFE

I have been a baseball and Cub fan all of my life

Baseball is the only place in life where a sacrifice is really appreciated

Always remember, however, there is no off season in the game
of life

So Batter up, swing for the fences and whatch out for curve balls
