A Real Plan
Losing Weight and abandoning your enjoyment of food are not
mutually exclusive.
Tom and I have dined at some of the best restaurants in the
country and I am here to tell you that eating is one of the greatest joys in
life. And I like to be happy!
The bottom line is that I have discovered a way to eat and
keep my weight under control. You can do it too.
I look and feel better than ever. I just have a real plan
and like every business plan I have ever had in my life, I aim for success and
i get it.
So if you see an 80 something cat with the nice physique
strolling by it just might be me on the way to my favorite restaurant in
Naples.
Come join me. Look good. Feel Good. And have a Real
Plan.

Why wait for wisdom to come with age---don't limit
yourself---Nobody is inspired by small goals

Championship Meditation
Phil Jackson was zen. You had to be to deal with the
personality and talent of characters like Dennis Rodman. As a Bulls fan who
arguably had the best TEAM in NBA history, I observed the quiet deliberate
spirit of Coach Jackson who practiced what he meditated about.
I try to incorporate what I learn from meditation to make my
daily life more peaceful and more productive. It is a lifelong process but one
worth all the effort whether a championship game or a business deal is at
stake.

Before a man can begin to work on his physical well being, it is critical that you get your mind and spirit in tip top condition. That's proven by science!
I love beautiful automobiles. I take care of them like they are family. They require TLC and that begins with a mindset that they will only perform to the level that they are prepared to attain. I meditate. I seek that spiritual center where I find the energy to produce the best results. Results begin with the right state of mind. I get my mind in order and the rest falls into place. Over the next few weeks I will share some secrets that make my body machine perform like a Ferrari. So fasten your seat belt and let's take a ride together!

Change your tune
Say next time instead of if only
Say opportunity instead of problem
Say let me show you instead of let me explain
You can always go from nice to mean, but you
can not go from mean to nice
What say you

THERE ARE ALWAYS CHOICES AVAILABLE
As I was reading the morning paper I ran across a quote from a fellow Holocaust survivor
"Suffering is part of life ----- Misery is a choice"
Remember smarter is better than bigger

DON'T HIT THE BRAKES TURN THE WHEEL
Are you over thinking your problems and can't get your mind to stop
You will feel better if you move forward----Dwelling on the future can
be frustrating, exhausting and even pointless because you can't control
what's going to happen
The Window
As I recall Otto at the window of the downtown hotel in LA a decade and a half ago staring out the window I could see his eyes were a window to his soul and that pane of glass an image of all that separates us from our past, our dangers, the big old world out there of good and evil.
I often reflect on that moment captured in my mind and all the other hotel rooms around the country I witnessed the same imagery. Things happen for a reason Otto says and the Boy at the Window was a natural subtitle for our book.
Do you have those mystical experiences that manifest themselves in real life. I'll bet you do.
Tell us about them. It inspires us in millions of ways!!'

Use your brain
“Now thinking is not a part time job but a full time sense of self. We all forget details but if the big picture concepts wane then they were never about being fulfilled. They were just talk. Talk is cheap. Yeah there are plenty of good things in store but not if you don’t even care enough to handle them with care.”

(Sometimes) "my thoughts took me back in time to the train ride from Vienna to Rotterdam. We were at the Dutch Border and the Nazi authorities were making their last inspection of our papers and baggage. Would they open the smuggled suitcase?”

We all have to escape from something and we all carry our own private baggage....

Thinking this morning of "Fresh Starts" and one we wrote about in our book:
“January 1955 rolled around quickly. I found myself sitting in the captain’s office waiting for my discharge papers and bonus pay. My four-year hitch was over. I was ready to go home and begin my life as a civilian. I even had some money in my itching pockets! I loaded the car, said goodbye to my service buddies, and headed for Chicago.”
